Statement From Masters On Infinity Cabling

Published: 17 October 2013 Category: Industry News

Masters always put its customers' safety first. Reports today refer to cabling supplied by Infinity Cable Co Pty Ltd to a number of Australian retailers and wholesalers.

New South Wales Fair Trading has said there is no immediate risk from the use of the cable.

When safety issues were brought to Masters' attention the cable was withdrawn from all its stores.   We are also currently undertaking further independent quality assurance testing on the cable.

It is important to note that by law, all cabling must be installed by qualified electricians.  Given this, we are confident that these products have mainly been purchased and installed by qualified electricians.

Customers who purchased these products from Masters will be offered a full refund.  This arrangement has been in place when the product was recalled in August and again on 9 October 2013.

Any customers who have any safety concerns and have purchased the product from Masters, we will send a qualified person to their home to inspect the cabling.

Customers should visit their nearest Masters Store or contact Masters on ph 1300 337 707.

Cabling affected is Infinity TPS Cable and Infinity Orange Round Cable which was sold at Masters stores over the last 12 months
