Extended Education Program – Rack Building

Off the back of last year’s sell-out successful Rack Building course, CEDIA will once again be running this course off-site in Melbourne on the day before Integrate.

Monday 26th August (The day before the show opens)

09:30 - 17:00

David Meyer, CEDIA and Stuart Robertson, Sound Living

Venue: Blustream, Mount Waverley, Victoria

This course will provide attendees with the clear, structural methodology required for rack building from planning through to future servicing. The course will explore industry best practice, the importance of wiring choices and standard approaches which can be applied to projects of all sizes. Attendees can expect to gain a deeper understanding into the different types of racks and appreciate how to apply the correct knowledge for overcoming issues with equipment placement, wiring, connectivity and rack build as a whole. Visit cedia.net/events/event-detail-page/2019/08/26/default-calendar/rack-building-workshop to register for this session.

CEDIA On Show

CEDIA will also have a presence on the show floor on booth 034, so if you want to find out more about CEDIAs strategy and how it is supporting the industry, come along and meet the team.  CEDIA will also be running daily demonstrations of The CEDIA Designer (TCD) software between 2-3 p.m. at the presentation theatre each day. Software's creator, Guy Singleton, will talk through this cloud-based design tool that creates peer-reviewed standard cinema designs, support documents, and aesthetic renders which accurately reflect the finished room.

CEDIA members automatically have access to the media room package. For any non-members who attend these sessions, CEDIA will provide these attendees with a month’s free trial of the media room package. If these contractors sign up to become a CEDIA member at the show, this free trial will be extended to the home cinema package. Electrical contractors will have until Friday 13th September to take advantage of this promotion. Wendy Griffiths, Vice President Global Development at CEDIA, Giles Sutton, CEDIA Senior Vice President of Industry Engagement, and Lauren Tuckwell, Regional Development Consultant, AU/NZ will be on the booth to provide visitors with information on CEDIA membership, the benefits that it offers, and details on the educational courses and resources that are available at the show.
