Installing powerpoints just got faster with new Legrand Excel Life single and double GPOs now hitting stores.
Following feedback from electricians, Legrand conducted a meticulous review of these ubiquitous items with a one mission in mind: to give electricians the best quality powerpoint that was both the fastest and safest to install on the market.
The review led to a complete re-design of the backside: from new, super hard captive screws with extra deep heads for better grip, to guided cable terminals, and smaller a footprint for easy fit-off in standard cabinetry cut-outs.

Smallest Footprint
For easy installation into standard cabinetry cut-outs, the backside is now the smallest available.
Guided Cable Terminals
Tapered like a funnel, the new terminals take up to 4 x 2.5mm² cables with ease.
Six Over-sized Mounting Holes
To help level and align multiple plates, there is now extra wriggle room in the mounting holes.
Raised Insulation Barriers
For extra protection against copper exposure and accidental short circuit, the insulation barriers are taller.
Carburised Steel Screws
Super hard carburised steel and deeper head screws enable a better grip.
Captive Screws
The screws remain captured in the thread always, so they’ll never be lost.
Ergonomically Angled Screws
Easier to access, faster to fit-off, the new angle also makes it easier to use electric drills without damaging the product.
Safety Shutters
In-built safety shutters are included in all Excel Life powerpoints for protection against accidental contact with live components. These render child safety caps redundant.
