Lighting spaces with outdoor traffic flow demands the use of luminaires that meet specific constraints associated with public area lighting including the need to balance performance and energy efficiency as well as responding to the need for aesthetic integration.

The Turner 70 by Sammode Lighting Australasia is a range of luminaires designed for effective application in outdoor circulation areas such as building entrances, rail platforms, transport hubs and bus shelters. Made from durable materials, it is ideal for these types of demanding environments where pollution, impact shocks and aging due to solar UV radiation are prevalent. Sammode’s product development philosophy is that lighting products are a long term investment rather than a consumable product.
Low Maintenance and Quality Construction Materials
All versions are low maintenance, built from quality materials to stand the test of time and usage in the public domain. The co-extruded body diffuser features an external methacrylate layer providing a protective barrier for the internal impact resistant polycarbonate layer. The co-extrusion also protects the diffuser body against the yellowing effects of UV degradation which can spoil the look of the fitting and reduce performance over time.
Long Life Allows Future Upgrades
Another benefit of the long life external components is that the electronics, LEDs and driver are easily replaced or upgraded to further extend lifetime allowing the ability to upgrade when new technology becomes available. It is a simple process to replace the internal components and keep the long life external housing.
