The world’s leading electrical portal Voltimum launched its New Zealand country website today. Voltimum was launched in Europe in 2001 and New Zealand becomes the 14th country that Voltimum has a presence in.

Following on from the success in the Australian market, New Zealand was the logical next expansion country for Voltimum. Damir Pletikosa, Sales & Marketing Manager Australia & New Zealand indicates “We are already seeing a large number of visitors and registrations from New Zealand on both the Australian and UK websites, it clearly shows there is a strong interest for online electrical content in the NZ market as well.”
Damir adds “New Zealand rates in the world top 10 for overall online usage rates per capita. With 90%* of the country online we see massive opportunity to make Voltimum the central source of information in NZ for all professionals involved in the design, specification, distribution and installation of electrical products and systems.”
This innovative portal collaborates with world leading electrical suppliers and local industry associations to provide the user a unique online experience. Voltimum has partnered with HPM Legrand, Nexans Olex, OSRAM, Prysmian Cables, Eye Lighting and Master Electricians for the initial launch phase; over the course of the next few months Voltimum will be looking to establish further partnerships with quality brands, suppliers, wholesalers and industry groups.
The overall Voltimum mission is to lift the standard of knowledge of the electrical installation industry; it aims to achieve this through continuing training and education of its subscribers, who receive this content at no cost.
The initial New Zealand offering includes:
- A comprehensive product catalogue of market leading brands, in an easy to search format, containing thousands of products, enriched by images, technical documentation, installation instructions and application guides
- Breaking industry news and events updated daily
- Hundreds of technical articles on wide range of thematics such as home automation, energy efficiency and product compliance
- Industry webinars from leading experts in the electrical field
One of Voltimum’s key pillars in Australia has been the Does it Comply? campaign, which aims to educate and create awareness of non-compliant product within the electrical market. Voltimum has been able to bring the entire electrical supply chain from end-users and contractors to wholesalers and suppliers together to present a unified message that only products compliant to Australian standards should be installed and sold. Voltimum is replicating this campaign now in the UK and will be also launching this in New Zealand later in 2015.
