The Triscan 3-Wire Weatherproof Sensor combines three technologies perfectly – PIR, microwave and photoelectric, ensuring accurate sensing.
Passive infrared sensors are sensitive to a person's skin temperature through emitted body radiation, in contrast to background objects at room temperature. No energy is emitted from the sensor, thus the name "passive infrared" (PIR).
The motion sensor technology emits microwave energy that completely fills its area of detection. Any disruption caused by movement within the field of detection may activate the sensor.
The photoelectric light sensitive switch will activate the Triscan based on light conditions. The Triscan allows users to adjust the light sensitivity level from 10 Lux to full sun to ensure the device operates at the desired time.
By combining both movement and light level sensing and having the ability to manually adjust the sensitivity levels, the Triscan significantly reduces the risk of false triggering, ensuring the light is activated only when required.
The Triscan has a large coverage area provided by a long detection range of 18m and a wide detection angle of 120°.
