Voltimum has used 2014 as a springboard to develop its webinar training program. This online training is offered free to all users that register onto the Voltimum website and aims to educate the Australian electrical industry on key thematics.
The live webinar sessions are always held at 5pm AEST to accommodate for users’ work schedules, this time was chosen based on actual customer feedback which indicated that this was the most preferred time they would like to attend. To attend the webinars all you need is a computer with speakers or headphones along with an internet connection, this is the real benefit of online learning; you can attend the training virtually from anywhere. In addition the webinars are also interactive which means there is a constant dialogue between the presenters and the attendees.
Voltimum works with technical directors, managers and product engineers of its partner companies, the likes of HPM Legrand, OSRAM, ABB, Gerard Lighting and more to develop content with the aim of helping predominantly electrical contractors and installers understand and keep to up to date with the ever-changing electrical industry.
Voltimum ensures that content being delivered is always brand and product neutral even if it’s being delivered by OSRAM or Gerard Lighting for example. The training has to be about educating on the thematic at hand and for contractors to receive real value for their everyday work life.
All the live webinars are recorded and published online at www.voltimum.com.au/webinars along with the training presentations. This is a great benefit as you are able to watch the webinar in your time and also view all the past webinars. This webinar archive has already more than ten previous webinars, with another six to be completed before December, so there are literally hours of free training material that users can sit down and watch for free.
The topics covered are very diverse including LED lighting and controls, smart building, USB chargers, RCDs, among several others. Voltimum is also very open for feedback on future webinar topics, so if users have any suggestions or recommendations, Voltimum is very keen to hear it.
