ECANZ Events
ANNUAL CONFERENCE
ECANZ holds a Conference and AGM each year to which all members are invited to attend. It is held over 3-4 days and allows members to learn about business development, to network and socialise. Conference Packages typically include airfares, opening and closing dinners, activities, partner’s tours and the business session.
ECANZ EXCELLENCE AWARDS
This biennial competition is a chance for Industry to acknowledge excellence. All members are encouraged to enter into this most prestigious event with categories for sole trader, medium projects, major projects, energy efficiency, lighting and industrial. The awards ceremony is like “A night at the Oscars.” See you there!
THE ECANZ CHALLENGE
This national competition-based event is open to all senior electrical apprentices. It comprises a one day elimination round staged throughout the country, with the top qualifiers in each discipline invited to compete in the three day NZ final.

6. WEBSITE LISTING
All our members are listed on our website, www.ecanz.org.nz. Members of the public can search for members in their area.
7. EWRB - LOW RISK AUDIT
Branded members of ECANZ and employees of those members are considered “Low Risk” in the Board’s audit
strategy. Whilst still being subject to audit, such audits should only take place when all other members have also been audited.
8. SMALL BUSINESS COURSE
ECANZ now offers a NZQA approved course which aims to help those in business or considering starting, call 0800 4ECANZ for further details.
9. TELECOM
Telecom and ECANZ have a partnership that is designed to provide special rate plans for ECANZ members as well as
discounts on total spend, & an extra discount if you are also on the fuel scheme.
10. WESTPAC
ECANZ members are entitled to discount banking services including preferential Merchant Credit Card processing rates and discount Business Banking and Personal Account packages.
11. ECANZ FUEL SCHEME

We provide a monthly newsletter that updates you on what ECANZ is up to, and upon issues within the electrical industry that you need to be aware of.
14. MASTERelectricians Branded CERTIFICATES OF COMPLIANCE
These are available for branded members only and offer the guarantee to promote your business with. Both Commercial
and Industrial certificates are available.
15. STATIONERY
ECANZ provides stationery pre-printed with the MASTERelectricians logo. This includes envelopes, Maintags, Appliance Safety Certificates and more.
16. PHOTO ID CARDS
Identifying your company and your employees as being part of ECANZ with a photo ID card, it also includes the MASTERelectricians logo.

18. EcoSmart ELECTRICIANS
Once the training has been completed accredited companies can enjoy advertising support for the EcoSmart Programme. This is only available to ECANZ members.
19. EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENTS
Every employee must by law have an employment agreement. ECANZ has the latest Industry applicable
agreements, available at no cost to members.
